The Duke of Cambridge

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Welcome to the website of the UK’s first and only gastropub to be certified by the Soil Association. We opened in 1998 and our ethical business ideals remain the same today: we serve delicious organic food carefully sourced from independent producers, while keeping our food miles super-low. In fact, 80% of our fresh produce comes from the Home Counties.

Please note: The Duke will be closed on Saturday 2nd October from 3.30pm for a wedding reception - we only do this a few times a year and we apologise for any inconvenience.

SOIL ASSOCIATION FOOD AWARDS 2010
We were delighted to have once again hosted the judging of the Soil Association Food Awards at the pub. Geetie Singh was one of the judges alongside fellow organic food enthusiasts such as Jo Wood, Barney Haughton, Sam Clark (Moro), Thomasina Miers (Wahaca), Allegra McEvedy (BBC Economy Gastronomy), Henry Dimbleby (Leon), Trevor Gulliver (St John) and Hardeep Singh Kohli who is the fabulous host for the award ceremony in September. Find out more on the Soil Association website.
